Electric System Work In Progress for New Apple Campus

Lane closures are in effect through today at the McNeil/Parmer Lane intersection for electric system improvements that will be needed to provide service to the Apple campus, currently under construction. Austin Energy is installing two new 120-foot transmission poles and a 65-foot distribution pole as part of a system reconfiguration to help power the new facility. The project requires sheriff’s deputies to momentarily stop traffic during the course of the work. Photos of today's activity:
